Consequent support of OGC standards

WEGA uses the concept of service oriented architectures by capsulating functionality into services or web services.

Besides the WMS standard (Web Mapping Service) as a matter of course WEGA supports the WFS standard (Web Feature Service) for providing, editing and processing of features in GML (Geo Markup Language) as well as the WCS standard (Web Coverage Service) to access raster data and the OGC Catalogue Service (CSW).

• WFS-G to access location catalogues
• WCS for download of raster data
• CSW for meta data

Besdies the defined OGC standard services WEGA specific services like WEGA-RBA are supported. The intelligent combination of these services allow the support of any possible working process.
